Here's the truth about WFM vendor forecasting: while it's often positioned as a key selling point, most automated forecasting capabilities are surprisingly basic. Having implemented and evaluated numerous WFM solutions across my 20+ years in the industry, I've found many fall short in fundamental areas - data input flexibility, functionality depth, and output reliability. In fact, a well-structured Excel model can often outperform these "automated" solutions.
